Renesas Electronics RA8D1 Arm® Cortex®-M85 MCUs
Renesas Electronics RA8D1 Arm® Cortex®-M85 MCUs are high-performance graphics MCUs that are based on the Arm® Cortex®-M85 core with Helium for compute-intensive AI/ML tasks. These MCUs feature 480MHz operating frequency, up to 2MB code flash memory, and 1MB SRAM. Along with these, 16-bit CEU camera interface peripherals and advanced HMI/graphics support for TFT-LCD with MIPI-DSI and RGB interfaces make these MCUs ideal for HMI applications. Typical applications include industrial HMI, security access panels, IoT gateways/hubs, home automation products, security cameras, voice AI, vision AI, and thermostats.
The RA8D1 MCUs are scalable from 100-pin to 224-pin packages and offer advanced security with TrustZone®, RSIP cryptographic engine, immutable storage, and tamper protection. These MCUs are built on a highly efficient 40nm process and support a broad operating voltage range of 1.68V to 3.6V.
